Extraordinary experiences in spectacular surroundings

Warm and friendly - and welcomes dogs! Unlike many castles and stately piles, Eastnor feels lived-in and alive. The guides and other staff are friendly and welcoming. Unusually, Eastnor Castle welcomes well-behaved dogs (on leads of course) INSIDE the castle. On a soggy day like the one when we visited, that was a major bonus.
As we were staying at Golden Gates Lodge in the Deer Park, we had complimentary tickets but even if we had had to pay the very reasonable entrance fee, it would have been well worth the outlay.
We were definitely impressed and, should we find ourselves in the area again on one of the days when the castle is open, we will certainly pop in for another wander around.

Amazingly Dog Friendly Fantastic castle and grounds and the most dog friendly attraction we have ever visited. Even the restaurant and castle allowed dogs inside.

well worth a visit Eastnor castle is well worth a visit, the gardens are beautiful. Plenty of indoor things to do if the weather isn't great.

The first day of our holiday Mandy and I took the two dogs for a day out. We explored the grounds first, a fabulous collection of trees, beautiful. We spent the afternoon having a guided tour. The tour guide was very informative and polite. It's great that such a fabulous home welcomes dogs too. A rare treat indeed.
We had tea and coffee after and found it most pleasant. We didn't eat, but this was a mistake because it looked marvellous.
Thoroughly recommend.

An enjoyable day out, a great castle to visit and fabulous ground to walk around. We were given a free pass to Eastnor Castle, just outside Ledbury, after staying in one of their holiday accommodations (The Lodge) and we had a very enjoyable day at Eastnor. A family ticket (2 adults + 3 kids) bought online is £31 or £33 bought at the gate, and if we had of paid I would say it would have been well worth it. The Castle itself, (not a real ancient castle as such but a fabulous replica built in the first half of the 1800's), is great to visit with a beautiful interior and lots of interesting decor. Then the woodland, grassland, gardens and lake around the Castle estate are all super relaxing and pleasant to walk and picnic in. There is also a nice Tearoom and Ice-Cream parlour, and a fun Maze. In summary I/we recommend a visit but advise that you check the website for specific opening days and times as these do vary depending on what events are on at the Eastnor Castle Estate. More

lots to see and explore An elegant, impressive building built to look like a historical castle - with grand approach housing the well- maintained toilet blocks. We walked around the lovely decorated and furnished rooms that were also used to accommodate paying guests. We enjoyed the woodland and lake side walks and scrumptious sandwiches at the cafe.

Just a day out for my wife and I. Absolutely loved the while area. Very clean and well kept. We took our little dog and she also loved it, only trouble was to many damn kids. Why aren't they at school??. Definitely going again.

Lovely place to visit We came on bank holiday may and had a lovely time. There was a lovely steam engine event on as it was bank holiday and made the visit all the more worth it.

Would def recommend it as its suitable for all ages. The maze is great, obstical course was cute. It's very clean with toilets located everywhere.

The view from the lake... Visited for the first time yesterday and thought it was a great day out. They had entertainment and a steam engine display going on as it was a bank holiday so it was very busy. Inside the castle is gorgeous and it felt like you had stepped back in time! The grounds of the castle are well kept and so much space to wander around with a great play area for children. My highlight was walking around the lake and taking in the views of the castle, just stunning and great for taking photos! I would recommend and go back again.
