Dogs Welcome
Dog Friendly Days Out
Eastnor Castle is proud to be a dog friendly tourist attraction and one of the few historic houses where dogs are welcome to roam around the grounds and inside the castle.
Dogs are free to wander with you during your visit, though we ask that they’re kept on their lead outside our dedicated ‘Dogs-Off-Leads Area’, where dogs are free to run amongst the trees. Every owner is also offered dog-waste bags on arrival for their convenience.
Fun for the whole family
Visit our Dog Friendly Castle
With ‘Dog Refreshment’ stops scattered around the grounds, there are plenty of opportunities for your dog to enjoy a drink of fresh water whilst exploring the castle. Alternatively, you can also treat your four-legged friend to our old sock flavoured Waggy Doggy Ice Cream from the Ice Cream Parlour.
So don’t leave your dog at home – bring them along and enjoy a dog day out at Eastnor Castle.

Eastnor Castle Grounds
Discover the breathtaking woodland surrounding the castle. From the Arboretum, that’s as rich in history as it is in greenery, to the Eastnor Tree Trail that spans the entirety of the castle grounds – it’s the perfect playground for a pup to exercise, explore and stimulate their brains.
Eastnor Deer Park
Eastnor Deer Park sits across the road from the castle and is home to an impressive herd of Red Deer. Spanning over 300 acres, the park overlooks the Herefordshire countryside and welcomes dogs and owners alike to trail the various walking routes that span the Deer Park, though we ask dogs to be kept on their leads at all times.
The Woodshed
Visit the Woodshed and enjoy refreshments for the whole family. Serving a variety of hot and cold drinks along with freshly prepared paninis, jacket potatoes and baked goods – the Woodshed is accessible from the entrance to Eastnor Deer Park and is open from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm. The perfect pit stop for you and your furry friend, the café even serves doggy ice cream in its signature Old Sock flavour!

“Absolutely brilliant and fantastic for all ages! The best thing about my visit was that I was able to take my dog, not only around the gardens and grounds, but indoors as well! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the castle itself has been beautifully restored and is well presented. Reasonably priced with free parking, I would highly recommend a visit and shall without a doubt be returning. It’s made my Easter weekend!”
