Covid-19 Safe for Visitor Opening

Update 27.01.22

England has returned to Plan A and therefore we are not imposing any restrictions on our visitors. The safety of our visitors and staff remains hugely important to us however so please do not visit if you have been advised to self-isolate and please use the hand-sanitiser stations which are dotted around the grounds.

Face coverings inside the castle and other indoor spaces are optional.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Update 16.07.21

Further to the Government’s announcement that all Covid-19 restrictions are to end on Monday 19th July; we wish to ensure our staff and visitors stay safe whilst Covid is still prevalent. We are therefore continuing with the following measures:

We will still be asking visitors to wear a face covering in all indoor spaces (Castle, Visitor Entrance, Tea Room & Toilets) until we close to visitors at the end of September.

We will still be limiting the number of visitors entering the castle at any one time.

Thank you for your co-operation with this.
