We very much welcome schools to Eastnor Castle and are committed to providing visiting schools and educational groups with an engaging learning experience, allowing visiting children to explore the castle and grounds in a relaxed and exciting way. We have recently been awarded a Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.
All tours of Eastnor Castle are tailored entirely to the visiting groups requirements, allowing group leaders to build into a tour subjects and themes which complement their classroom study. Eastnor Castle had recently introduced a selection of national curriculum oriented tours aimed at Key Stay 1 and covers the subjects:
– Castles & Knights,
– Homes, Houses & Gardens,
– The Lives of Significant Individuals.
There is also the opportunity to include a Maths & Science element while exploring the castle. Nature trails are also available along with the usual outdoor attractions of our Adventure Playground, Knight’s Maze, Woodland Play Area, Junior Assault Course, Tree Hunters’ Trek, Lakeside & Woodland Walks.
Tours are available on Monday & Tuesday term-time throughout the year, subject to availability (one teacher free with up to 6 children – extras at group rate).

“We were all really impressed with the whole trip, from the booking to the preview visit, tour and facilities. I can’t understand why we haven’t been over sooner! The children are still talking about it now. The information pack was the most useful and comprehensive I have ever been sent and it was a treat to have the whole place to ourselves! So much less stressful for the staff organising it and checking on the children. As a result we all had a wonderful time.”
