Leeds Couple win GMTV’S Battle of the Brides

20 January 2014

A loved-up couple from Leeds tied the knot live on air this morning (Friday 29th August) after winning GMTV’s ‘Battle of the Brides’ series!

Caroline Clark, 24, and Daniel Duggan, 25 beat hundreds of hopefuls to win a once-in-a-lifetime dream wedding at the fairytale Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.

The pair won the viewers’ vote after competing against two other final couples in a series of wedding related challenges last week. Student nurse Caroline, who proposed to Danny on the 29th February of this year, was overwhelmed at winning, saying; “I can’t believe we’re going to get married next week. Everyone’s been rallying round at home – we appreciate it so, so much.” Qualified paramedic Danny was lost for words at the news; “I’m speechless – that’s incredible” he said.

On their wedding day, Caroline wore a bespoke hand-fitted gown by the celebrity designer Caroline Castigliano, and had her own entourage of celebrity stylists including hairdresser to the stars Richard Ward and celebrity make-up artist Jemma Kidd.  What's more, Caroline and Danny will feature in a celebrity lifestyle magazine before being whisked off to Jamaica for a luxury 5 star two-week honeymoon.

This week GMTV have been catching up with the lucky couple as they prepared for their big day.
