Wedding Breakfast

The Wedding Breakfast takes place after the Wedding Ceremony and Reception Drinks, regardless of the time of day that the wedding takes place. It is so special since it is the first meal that the newly married couple will share after their marriage ceremony.

Traditionally, couples would have fasted from midnight before the wedding took place and then once married, a religious representative would bless their first meal eaten together. This is the reason we always refer to the meal as a breakfast.

Your first meal as a married couple should be a memorable one to treasure. The Eastnor Castle State Dining Room seats up to 80 guests, at sociable round tables, for a waiting service or buffet-style Wedding Breakfast. This imposing and yet intimate, richly decorated room has no obstructions, allowing the bride and groom to take their seats at the top table and be seen by each of their guests. After all, this is your day!

As dusk falls, the opulent curtains can be drawn and candles lit to create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for the evening to play on.

The Great Hall, with its dramatic 60-foot high ceiling, is able to seat up to 150 guests at round tables for a waiter service or buffet-style meal. The Great Hall is a vast space in which to enjoy your first meal as ‘Mr and Mrs’ whilst also providing an intimate ambience. This conveniently connects to the Octagonal Saloon, with magnificent French windows onto the terraces. Once lit with candles, this room takes on a regal presence and creates a truly captivating atmosphere.

As the sun rises, The State Dining Room is also used for breakfast the following morning. You and your guests can all gather around a large oval table to share stories and memories from the day before!
