Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury will be hosting tours of its beautiful grounds on Sunday 12 June with local tree expert and photographer – Archie Miles who will be sharing his incredible knowledge and enthusiasm for the magnificent Eastnor tree collection . The grounds contain some of the largest and most spectacular cedars and giant redwoods anywhere in Europe. Also it contains one of the finest nineteenth century plantings of conifers from all around the world, mostly established between 1840 and 1860.
Archie, from Bromyard, is one of Britain’s leading practitioners in the field of landscape and natural history photography. He is the author of ‘The Malvern Hills – Travels through Elgar Country’. A professional photographer for 30 years and a writer for about 15 years, Archie has travelled the length and breadth of the British Isles to photograph many of the country’s greatest and rarest trees.
