Important information for ticket holders regarding George’s Marvellous Medicine on Sunday 10th August.

As you may have heard in the news this week the weather on Sunday is predicted to be very wet.  To try and make the theatre performance as enjoyable as possible we have managed to hire in a marquee at very short notice which is large enough for everyone to shelter under and the performance to take place in.

Due to the logistics of getting the marquee up in time, it will be situated on our overflow car park and the performance will take place there at 3.00pm as originally planned.  Parking for the performance will be in our additional overflow car park which is in the field next to that which the marquee will be in.  If you turn into our overflow car park from the road, the car park will be clearly signed from there.

We normally allow entry at 2.00pm for our theatre ticket holders so you can enjoy the grounds before the performance.  However, as the location of the performance is now outside the grounds, entry will be from 1.00pm so you have time in the grounds before making your way over to the performance tent.  You can of course leave your chairs and picnics in the car and collect these on the way back from the castle grounds.

The grounds may be wet in and around the marquee on Sunday and it won’t be as easy to spread out on rugs; therefore it is recommended that you bring low backed chairs rather than picnic blankets.

Please kindly note that due to logistics, we won’t be able to offer any refreshment provisions in the new area but there will be toilet facilities.

We hope you enjoy the performance and keep dry.
